Engineering Elections

Every time I go to a local Democratic organization meeting, he's always there.

It's not always the same guy, but some version of him is invariably running around with his clipboard and that Stepford Wife look. "Excuse me, would you like to volunteer for Barack Obama?!" Those are the words that haunt me. My mind races. My heart pounds, and my fists clinch. I always politely say no way, but in my mind the answers are much more sarcastic and crude.

Why on Earth would I want to volunteer for an electioneer? Especially the very same one who quite literally stole the election away from Hillary Clinton, the love of my political life?! Does he not see my Hillary pin and my grimace?!

That Obama has stolen the election IS NOT some obscure fantasy created to make myself feel better in defeat. There are literally thousands of documented cases of caucus fraud and delegate fear mongering which ultimately led to Obama's delegate lead.

Just Google: "Camp Obama"

You'll be appalled to learn of the tactics that volunteers were taught to guarantee a voter turnout for Obama. They were told to 'be ruthless' and to take whatever means necessary to ensure an Obama victory. It's very scary.

Or, Google: "Texas caucus fraud"

Whooo-eee. No shortage of horror stories here either. Obama people stealing sign-in sheets. Locking out Hillary's caucus-goers. Phoning in voter information to stack the deck illegally in their favor. Purposefully delaying votes until 3 a.m. so that the elderly and working-class people would have to go home before they could vote. Everywhere you turn, another lesson in election fraud.

It wasn't just one or two states, either. All across America, the Obama machine was in full hysterics trying to tip the balance to ensure his victory. And they obviously did so very well.

So are we now to just say that's ok? Let's move on? Embrace this guy?

I sincerely hope, if you value your voice at the ballot box, that you join me in saying NO DEAL.

  1. A response to this reappearing person might be using the new Confluence slogan
"When Democracy comes back to the Democratic Party so will we"
and we might volunteer as well!!
