This week, National Public Radio's show All Things Considered did a backgrounder on possible presidential nominee, Representative Michele Bachmann, R-MN. Listeners may be shocked to learn that the Obama-bashing voice of the Tea Party movement actually got her start in Democratic Party politics. In fact, her political resume dates back to Jimmy Carter's 1976 campaign, before bolting the party and campaigning for Reagan. So when Bachmann compares Obama's failures to Carter's, she knows what she's talking about.
