False, Heated, Dangerous Rhetoric from Debbie Wasserman Schultz

The bad news keeps piling up for DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Notorious for resulting to Blame Bush strategy over economic malaise, DWS was asked by CNN's Ed Henry when President Obama and Democrats will take responsibility for continued pain. "At what point do you take ownership?" DWS answered that Democrats do own the current economy and immediately took credit for economic conditions.
Debbie has recently taken heat for hyper-partisan rhetoric without regard to reality. On Meet the Press, David Gregory pressed DWS after she claimed that President Obama was able to "turn the economy around." Gregory quickly interjected, "Whoa, whoa. Let me just stop you there. Clearly, the economy has not been turned around. You just saw those numbers. Americans don't believe that's the case." DWS repeated her claims after - you guessed it - blaming George Bush.
I challenged Debbie Wasserman Schultz to lead by example when she famously proclaimed that words matter. The DNC chair urged both parties to beware of demonizing each other in the wake of the Gabby Giffords shooting. Yet, she has only dialed up her own heated comments since taking the new partisan post. She recently claimed that the Republican Party has waged a "war on women" and wants to take voting rights "literally back to Jim Crow." She tried to scare the hell out of old people by claiming that Rep. Paul Ryan's budget would result in patients being dropped. Politifact rated her comments false.
Will DWS learn from recent missteps and decide that her own words matter? We continue to hope.
